It removes heat tint/oxide staining around the weld and helps restore a clean, consistent finish using a controlled brush-and-fluid process. In many fabrication workflows, it also supports passivation as part of the post-weld finishing process, depending on your material grade, procedure, and end-use requirements.

TigTidy is designed for stainless steel weld cleaning. If you’re working with mixed alloys, plated parts, anodised aluminium, painted surfaces, or unknown coatings, don’t guess—contact us (or your dealer) with a photo and the material spec. Using an electrolytic process on the wrong material can cause unwanted surface effects. If you mainly weld stainless (TIG/MIG), you’re in the sweet spot.

TigTidy is built to be straightforward. Most users are productive within minutes because the process is simple: apply fluid, brush the weld, then wipe and rinse/neutralise to finish. There’s no complex setup or programming, and the controls are intentionally minimal. Used correctly, TigTidy is a controlled, predictable process—but it still involves electricity and chemical fluids, so safety matters. Always follow the Safety Data Sheets (SDS), use appropriate PPE, and follow the cleaning/neutralising steps. Keep the work area ventilated, protect surrounding surfaces, and use the recommended fluids and accessories. If you’re in a regulated environment (food, pharma, drinking-water components), your QA requirements may include additional validation steps—your dealer can help you align the process to your site rules.
